Everyone has an area on their body that they want to work on or improve. They want to feel better about themselves and get in better shape so it is ideal for them to lose weight and get healthier. Belly fat is a top concern for many people and they are searching to find ways to get rid of it. The first step to doing so is to control the rate at which your belly fat is growing. Here are three steps to keeping your belly fat under control.

Eat Better

You have belly fat for a reason and that is more than likely because you didn’t eat very well. But the past is the past and you can’t change that so let’s start from today. Instead of grabbing that soda take the water instead. Instead of the candy bar try some grapes or another fruit you like. Eating better doesn’t have to be horrible you just need to make smart choices.

Get active

You have said the excuses about “I don’t have time” or “I’m so busy” and while that is probably true you can surely find 15 minutes every day to do something active. Run the stairs several times, run in place while watching television, take a walk with your spouse or children. Anything that will get you moving is better than what you are doing now which is nothing.

Get a handle on your stress level

While it may sound near impossible it can really affect your belly fat. Stress has a way of causing us to do what is called “emotional eating” which is not healthy and will cause you to eat things you shouldn’t which will in turn cause more belly fat.
